This full day, 8-hour Cairns barramundi tour includes transfers to and from your accommodation, to our property at Wonga Beach near the Daintree. You’ll be picked up in our Barramobile at approximately 8.15am depending on your location and taken on the scenic Great Barrier Reef drive past Port Douglas, to Wonga Beach. Enjoy interpretive commentary on the way, with stops at culturally significant sites and a Welcome to Country.

When you get here, it’s straight into a private tour of the Daintree Saltwater Barramundi Farm. This place is legendary and has been producing award winning barra for over a decade. Stop in at the baby barra ponds and learn about sustainable farm practices, before watching a hand harvest. From there it’s over to the Barra Pond where you’ve got 1 hour to try and land a big one. Our expert guides will give you some top tips and please note it’s catch and release fishing. The next stop is lunch, and you can choose classic fish and chips or a tasty barra burger. These 8 hour tours run Monday to Saturday (not Sunday), with pick-ups from Cairns at 8.15am and 8.30am northern beaches. Note: If you don’t want to do the Farm Tour, which is highly recommended, then there’s the option for 2 hours of barra fishing. This needs to be pre-arranged, so contact us on (07) 4098 7117.
