HOOK-A-BARRA FISHING ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

Accessible barramundi fishing and farm tours are just the beginning of your visit to Hook-A-Barra, Queensland’s premier land-based fishing experience at Wonga Beach. Our big barra pond, which is 60m x 30m, is full of fish – barramundi that are up to and over 1m, monster jacks and more. It has accessible banks and a pontoon, with the Hook-A-Barra team on hand to help get you fishing. We have 5 x 1 hour fishing sessions each day and we supply everything you need, from rods and reels (which are manual only) to tips and assistance from our fishing guides. Feeling hungry? Our big barra café has a range of delicious barramundi dishes, from fish and chips to barra burgers, fish tacos and more. Undercover seating on the breezy deck, which has ramps for accessibility.

There is convenient parking close to our access ramp, which can be reserved a day in advance*, and if you don’t have your own car the accessible Hook-A-Barra-mobile can assist with transfers. Hook-A-Barra’s main fishing pond, toilets, barramundi information centre and café are all accessible with ramps and lots of space. Our fishing guides are focused on fun and ensuring you maximise your accessible barramundi fishing experience with us.
